The 1967 Big Flood

This is one of the memories that the older Kraians will remember.

The flood hit most parts of Kuala Krai. From the windows  we saw neighbours helping one another. In  Kuala Krai we saw TRUE COMMUNITY SPIRIT first hand.

Parents were worried. They worried about shelter, food, damage to property, and most importantly their children’s SAFETY.

Youngsters, were excited, anxious to see their main road turn into a river. Before the water hit the road youngsters walked to Bradley Steps every 20 minutes hoping that the water level increased. They were happy to have the flood. LOL

Look at the photos and judge yourself, do you see any youngsters looking unhappy, or worried?
